Granger Flu Clinic
For many people, the move to fall weather goes hand in hand with an annual flu shot. The Granger Urgent Care department is making your annual flu shot easy and convenient by offering walk-in vaccine services at all of our urgent care facilities, including West Valley, Millcreek, Riverton and West Jordan. The CDC recommends an annual flu shot, especially for people who are elderly, pregnant or work with children or in hospitals.
The flu vaccine is available as a shot and as a nasal spray, but this year the CDC is recommending against the nasal spray for children as it has shown to be less effective than the shot. Also, it is recommended that you wait on your flu shot if you are already feeling sick or running a fever. It is also not recommended for infants under six months old, people who have had a severe reaction to a vaccine in the past, or those with a history of Guillain-Barre syndrome. People with severe egg allergies should also consult a doctor to find out the best vaccine options for them.
The Granger Urgent Care flu clinic will have different hours depending on Location. All flu clinics will run from September 6th-November 1st. Many insurances and employee programs will cover the cost of a vaccine, making it convenient and affordable.
