Bariatric Surgery

Dr. Beck is a skilled general surgeon specializing in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. She joined Granger Medical Clinic after practicing at Holy Cross Medical Group. Originally from Ohio, Dr. Beck moved to Utah to enjoy the beautiful mountains after completing her fellowship training.

Dr. Beck earned her medical degree Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State University and completed her general surgery residency at the same institution. She further honed her skills in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery through a fellowship at UC-San Diego.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Beck enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, biking, and practicing jiujitsu. She also cherishes spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two children, and beloved dogs.

Care Philosophy:

Dr. Beck believes in treating the whole patient, rather than just individual symptoms. This holistic approach is particularly important in bariatric surgery. She understands that weight loss can significantly improve overall health, reduce the risk of chronic diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, diabetes, and certain cancers, and enhance a patient’s well-being, energy, mobility, and self-esteem.

Dr. Beck treats a wide range of surgical conditions, including obesity, reflux, dysphagia, and hernias.
