Roscoe S. Nelson, MD

Dr. Nelson grew up in north San Diego County and has been married to Judy for 39 years. They made a tactical error in sending their children to Utah for college, as all of them ended up moving here. He practiced in the north Phoenix area for 26 years before moving to Utah to be closer to his grandkids.
Although he sees all urologic issues, he knows his limitations and looks forward to partnering with the other urologists at Summit Urology to give the patients the best treatment possible. The focus in his practice is on BPH, voiding dysfunction, incontinence, and Female HRT. No needle, no scalpel vasectomy, advanced prostate cancer & recurrent UTI. Although some of these aren’t glamorous (what in urology is?) they can be life-changing for the patients. He enjoys being patient-facing in his practice and started the website, www.peedoc.com in 2007 to reach out directly to patients. This has been very successful in engaging patients from all over the world.
Dr. Nelson worked in North Phoenix from 1999 through 2024. He has served as chief of surgery and then on the hospital board of trustees for the last 10 years. He has won numerous awards including Top Doc, Compassionate Doctor Award, Three Best Rated Urologists in Phoenix and Glendale, and several Patient Choice Awards.
He is married with four children and three grandsons. He loves golf, marketing, pizza making, and eating.
