Craig A. Coleby, MD

Craig Coleby, MD, FAAP, is a multifaceted physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, and Autonomic Disorders. His board certifications and additional fellowship training in these disciplines reflect his unwavering commitment to his profession and his patients. He joined Granger Medical Clinic in 2010 after working for Greater Houston Emergency Physicians (GHEP) in Houston, Texas, bringing with him over 4,000 hours of pediatric and adult emergency room experience.

Dr. Coleby hails from Holladay, Utah, and completed his undergraduate studies in Business Management at Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2000. He pursued his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), graduating in 2004. Following this, he completed his internship and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident of his program, in 2008. Dr. Coleby then furthered his expertise by completing his fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in 2009.

Dr. Coleby demonstrates his commitment to serving others through local volunteer and leadership capacity roles. He served on Granger Medical Clinic’s board of directors from 2013 to 2019 and currently serves on the board of directors for Granger’s Medical Community Foundation 501 (c)3, a position he’s held since 2021. He is also an active member of the board of directors of Youthlinc.org 501 (c)3, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering youth and young adult leadership/growth through local community and international humanitarian service. He has served as the medical mentor and team physician for service teams in Thailand (July 2019), Peru (July 2021), Kenya (July 2022), Fiji (July 2023), and Vietnam (June 2024). Currently, he is the Team Physician for Riverton High School Football since 2010.

Being board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, and Autonomic Disorders showcases his comprehensive understanding and proficiency across a wide range of medical disciplines.

• As an Internist, Dr. Coleby is equipped to diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions affecting adult patients, including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, heart failure, stroke, chronic migraine, asthma, and osteoarthritis. He is often consulted to solve complex medical questions and is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP).
• As a Pediatrician, Dr. Coleby demonstrates expertise in the physical, emotional, and social health of children, from infancy through adolescence. He currently sees newborn babies at Riverton Hospital and is accepting new pediatric patients and their parents in his practice. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
• As a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist with a subspecialty focus on pediatric pain, Dr. Coleby is expertly trained to prevent, diagnose, and treat sports and exercise-related injuries. His extensive knowledge of non-operative orthopedics allows him to care for fractures, lacerations, concussions, carpal tunnel syndrome, acute and chronic joint pain, and more. He can perform ultrasound-guided procedures for osteoarthritis, trigger point, bursitis, and tendon injuries. He is able to offer Platelet Rich Plasma or “PRP” injections among many options. He authored Chapter 24: Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in the TCH Handbook of Pediatrics and Neonatology. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM).
• Autonomic Disorders is a neurology subspecialty in which Dr. Coleby is board-certified by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) since 2018. His focus is on pediatric conditions which affect the autonomic nervous system. He is currently CLOSED to any new patients with the diagnosis of POTS, OI, Post COVID Syndromes, EDS, MALS, Nutcrackers Syndrome, MTS or related disorders. This part of his practice he operates as a medical home for his current patients and is currently at capacity. He is on the Physician Curriculum Committee for the annual “POTS and Beyond” CME Conference sponsored by the University of Utah Department of Neurology since 2018, helping physicians become more educated about Autonomic Disorders. He is an active member of the American Autonomic Society (ASS) and Pediatric Assembly Research Committee.
