J. Steele McIntyre, MD
Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Dr. McIntyre is Board Certified in Family and Sports Medicine. He joins the Granger Medical Alta View Sports Medicine group as a non-operative (approximately 90% of all sports injuries are non-surgical) orthopedic sports medicine provider. He offers a wide variety of specialties including, but not limited to, sports and acute orthopedic injuries, sprains and strains, low back pain, injury from overuse, arthritis management, and the impact of diabetes in sports.
Dr. McIntyre believes in a patient-centered approach. His style is emulated after a good friend and mentor Dr. Russ Toronto who always approached his patients personally and strived to get them back to doing what they loved as soon as possible. He loves his job and finds great joy in watching his patients improve.
Dr. McIntyre is a native of Utah who grew up in Heber City and has lived in Salt Lake City for the past 20 years. He has served as a team physician for San Diego State football, basketball, and baseball teams. He also worked closely with the San Diego Chargers team physicians and served as an Olympic Training Center team physician. He has volunteered at numerous sporting events including marathons, BMX super-cross, speed boat racing, field hockey, rugby, and breast cancer walks.
He loves the outdoors and spending time with his wife and three crazy boys. Weekends are filled with soccer and football games, golfing, snow skiing, hiking, and being involved in his church.
