Sarah Szymczyk, PA-C
Internal Medicine
Sarah is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in internal medicine with a focus on gynecology, LGBTQ+ health, addiction medicine, and sports medicine. A recent graduate of the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program, she has also participated in multiple medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, where she provided team-based healthcare to underserved rural communities.
Originally from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Sarah enjoyed the local beaches before moving to Boone, NC, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Appalachian State University. During her time in the Appalachian Mountains, she competed in snowboarding before relocating to Salt Lake City. Now a Utah resident, Sarah spends much of her free time exploring the local mountains, snowboarding, mountain biking, and foraging.
Sarah is dedicated to creating a respectful and open environment where patients feel heard, valued, and understood. She takes an individualized approach to care, recognizing that “one size fits all” solutions often fail to meet the unique needs of diverse populations. With a strong commitment to cultural competency, she strives to address healthcare inequalities, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality care, regardless of their background or circumstances.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, foraging, paddleboarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, and backcountry split boarding. She also loves recreational sports like ultimate frisbee and kickball—anything that gets her moving and spending time with friends. A true foodie, Sarah has a passion for exploring different cultural dishes, with sushi being her all-time favorite.
