Tom Barman, MD

Dr. Barman’s research and interest demonstrate the wide range of experience that he brings to patient care. In his 25+ years of caring for patients enriched with research in cancer immunology and diabetes; a stint as an emergency room physician; his love of sports, especially golf and cycling and devotion to his family all contribute to his understanding of patients’ needs. Driven by a desire to help them achieve the best possible overall health and quality of life, Dr. Barman treats patients, not diseases.
Despite his busy practice schedule, Dr. Barman took time out to teach eighth grade Algebra in a local school for eight years. That same commitment to the community also shows in his participation on several hospital committees over the years concerned with a variety of issues in health care delivery and quality, including critical care, ambulatory care and pharmacy and therapeutics.
