Tyler T. Wood, DO
Internal Medicine
Dr. Wood joins Granger Internal Medicine – West Valley City from Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He is a Utah native and attended Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 2013 and Master of Science in 2014, both in Physiology and Developmental Biology. He matriculated at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM), at Midwestern University, in Glendale, Arizona, graduating as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. As a medical student, Dr. Wood cared for patients in various hospitals and clinics throughout the Phoenix area, as well as rotations through Utah Valley, Texas, and Florida. Dr. Wood’s post graduate training was in the East Idaho area, primarily at Bingham Memorial Hospital and EIRMC. He is thrilled to be back to his deep Utah roots, close to family and friends and to build a life-long practice here.
Dr. Wood measures the meaning and success of his medical practice and his life by the quality of his relationships with others and value added to their lives. He plans to build his practice around great connections with patients. Dr. Wood works to build the patient-physician relationship around learning his patient’s long-term goals and priorities, and then addressing problems and working with the patient to optimize their health from that shared understanding.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with family and friends, and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, soccer, racquetball, skiing, and snowboarding.
